cumberland river lodging

I like to throw streamers and want to fish the cumberland river.
Where do you stay when your fishing the cumberland river below wolf creek? I want to fish it and I am for help for a place to stay cabin or motel?

For being smack dab on the river you can stay at the Cumberland Lodge in Burkesville. But for the same money and nicer accomodations I suggest you stay at Dale Hollow state park lodge...both of these place are about 30 miles down stream from the dam...if you want to be closer to the dam your best bet is Lake Cumberland State Resort Park. The river is running high, wide and fast right now so I'm not even sure if any ramps are available. Be careful if you go, the Cumberlad River is one place you must show respect for at all times.

Good luck, you'll need it! The CR is a raging mess right now. Instead of attempting to fish the CR, I would try your luck at the CL. Just my two cents. It will be awhile before we see flows back to normal.
