Geist??

Typically by this time I've fished Geist once a week since ice out but I haven't been on a reservoir one so far. Can anyone shed some light on where the fish are staging? I'm not looking for spots or particular baits.

Geist.....some fish are still locked on beds while some are post spawn. I caught 3 fish last week on their beds, the grass is starting to come in. The crappie bite has been awesome, caught 50 plus in 4 hrs last week from 4p-8p, about 10 keepers. Anytime you fish geist it can be tough, with 30ft deep holes dredged out, sometimes the fish on that lake are funny???

Yes, Geist is a tough lake often times. I"ve had awesome days on Geist and have blanked many times. I'm fishing the IFD tournament Thursday so I'm hoping I can find 5 good ones.

Just read the reports on channel 13 news page..........seems the blue/green algea is already started at Geist this year. There's supposed to be a meeting next week (I believe) to try to find a solution.[COLOR=#003366]Central Indiana reservoirs already showing algae problems[/COLOR]

I should have sent you an e-mail. We had two fish on Thursday...lost one at the boat. One came from 25' (from you know where) and the other from 2'. We couldnt' figure them out. I heard there were just a couple of limits and 4th place had 7 pounds so it was tough for most.

We need to get together and fish one.

I actually fished last Thursday and I saw one fish on the bank all day. My guess is that they have all spawned out.
