Fished Saturday and today.

Saturday was Fantastic. caught lots of skippys,shad,perch,sauger.
Today i caught only 1. but it was a HUGE sauger that came in at 26in. and 2.98lbs

If you don't mind, what did you catch the skipjacks on? I'd love to catch some skips for catfish bait.

Tyme if you need skippies they are easy right now. Go to the upper with a small jig whiteor chartruese or sibiki rig. I caught so many Yesterday that I got sick of looking at them, must have had thirty or more.

Mark, did you load up the freezer??? You know what it was like last year when the bait was hard to come by...I had one arm longer than the other throwing that net lol..

No Chuck I didn't I'm sorry I should have. I might beat you down there Friday if you want to put up with me again and I'll catch us a bunch of skips for bait. Them whiskered rascals cannot refuse the skipjacks, it's ''CatfishCandy".

You know I allway's have a open seat for ya brother, I been thinking about gettin one of them vacum packers I think there about 60$ at Kroger. That would keep them skips about the best I think other than fresh.

The river looks even better today and the boats are STACKED up down there right now. At least 7 or 8 that I can see.

They just got POURED on but the sun is out and shining right now and I am completely jelous!

I was one of the guys that got poured on. At least I had my rain jacket. My partner just got soaked. Yep, the sun then came out and all was well.

At one point it was raining so hard I couldnt even see the train bridge!

We had some "mushy" liver so our bait wasn't the greatest. We did manage to catch a bunch of cats.

Lots of rough fish rolling all over the place. It looked like a pod of dolphins surfing out there !!

Asian Carp mostly.

Sometime I wish I could just blow em all up when they are that thick up there like that.

I have a BAD feeling that these guys are going to cause a serious problem for us in the next 2-3years.
