    Dropping Water Levels

The Corps is pulling the lake lever down fast, especially on Nolin, Barren and Rough. Over a foot a day for the last week and it looks like it will continue through the week end to get the lakes down to Summer pool. Just wondering how you think that wll effect the fishing this weekend--help or hurt? Also, do you think the fising will be better on the main lake or in the creeks/'up-river?

    Re: Dropping Water Levels

Well in my mind thats hard to say because bass should be on the nest or close to be done spawning so if they are spawning they will stay shallow except in case of a major front comming through. The bass that are done spawning will back out and suspend anyway. This also applies to crappie. I will probably be doing more hunting than fishing this comming weekend. By that i mean hunting fish ! I just hope that the fish didnt build nest above summer pool just to waste their eggs when the water goes back down. Well ill have a report after this weekend from nolin. I hope we all have good luck no matter what fish we are fishing for. Tight lines and good luck,jc
