Obama will trade your safety

After watching the King's speech about Gitmo last evening then almost puking I realised one simple thing.
King Obama is alright with risking the lives of your family and you as well for the sake of looking good to the masses abroad.

He said and I heard this clearly so Libs don't try to spin this one o.k.

We are actually putting Americans at a bigger threat by keeping Gitmo open because alot of groups and countries don't like it. In other words we look bad, and God knows he and his flashy wife like to look good to everybody. When he was finished I was dumbfounded, I was like.........What the hell did that man just say that made one shread of sense to me. Then I watched Cheney's rebutle and guess what...............It made complete sense to me.
Obama is scary people, scary indeed on so many levels. His speech was absolute insanity!

Cheney said some scathing things that made an awful lot of sense. Didn't sound a bit like a crazy old loon to me, sounded more like a guy tired of the liberals demonizing him, and possessed of the balls to do something about it. What do we find out? THREE people have been waterboarded, one of them the 9/11 mastermind after telling interrogators he'd talk only after he got his New York lawyer. The president condemns his predecessors' barbaric actions toward that massive number of 3 people, but refuses to show the valuable information obtained by it. Beautiful, just absofreakinglutely beautiful.

President Obama in a big room with big echoes delivered yet another campaign speech. He rambled, doubletalked, and blamed Gitmo, like everything else on the Bush administration. Meanwhile he relies on the very anti-terror mechanisms put in place by those he blames.

Aside from spending future generations' trillions to advance the socialist agenda and stop a recession that continues to worsen, Mr. Obama has accomplished absolutely zero. Zilch. Nada. Actually he has visited some foreign leaders, and kissed up to a couple of despots. His supporters do have that to be proud of.

Mr Obama's presidency is basically a public relations effort. Long as he keeps that ever-high popularity rating, he'll tell you what you want to hear. President Bush had guts and conviction, so far President Obama has...popularity.

Any of you lefties concerned that the most progressively left wing state, the very ones our federal government is striving to be like is bankrupt? Yep, in line asking for O'bailout money...there's a shocker. Yeah I know, the governator is a Republican. Right. About as Republican as good ole Arlen Spincter.

Commonly we heard that such critisism gave comfort to the terrorists and that such people should hold their critisisms to themselves. Cheney often went on the attack against people who critisized the administration's policies. Given this, why does Cheney now believe that critisising the current administration, as he now does on a regular basis, and calling them weak is ok? To use his own words, why does he want to "embolden the enemy"? Is Dr. Evil really hoping for another attack? Does he hate America so bad that he wants to see its people suffer?

HE DIDN'T GO ON THE ATTACK. He was defending himself and the administration after the King gave his speech and slammed them on many agendas. His speech was a rebutle, he didn't pick the fight his Excellency did. I also might add he didn't sling nearly as much mud as Obama. Andrew you are grasping at straws now, most of your comments have valid opposing spins to them but this my friend, I'm sorry I can't see it. Watch both speeches and honestly tell me how much sense Obama makes versus the other side. Even some of the most staunt Democratic supporters are miffed by this one. Congress voted 90 to 6 in favor of going against the KING on this one, that tells me he is way off base on this one. This is his pipe dream and he boasted of this during his run to Kinghood, and Lord knows he can't be wrong, he doesn't do wrong very well at all, lol.

I'm not refering just to the last speech that Cheney gave. He has been on the attack for a while now. Again, Cheney was of the opinion that critizising the admin was empowering the terrorists. If he believed that, why is he now doing something he railed against just a few years ago.

Agree with you, closing Gitmo without a plan was a recipe for problems. Glad to see that he did not get his way on that one. Also good to see that, in some cases, repub and dem can come together on an issue.

Well, until the administration releases WHAT information was GAINED from the torture.......and they NEVER WILL......us normal people will never know.

I personally think you do WHATEVER is necessary to obtain the info........AND don't tell me our enemies don't use the very same techniques......BECAUSE THEY DO........why do you think SERE school exists.

I think recent history has shown us that those who oppose us will attack at a time of their chosing. Whether a repub, dem, or independant was in would not matter.

As far as weaking our defenses, I seem to remember very early in Obama's term that he authorized a cross border attack on Al Queda in Pakistan with the comment that we would presue terrorists where ever they tried to hide. I also seem to remember that Obama is increasing troop strength in Afganistan to go after Al Queda and Taliban there before they have a chance to take hold again. How is this weak?

To convince our soldiers that it would be better to fight to the death than to be caught by these ****. I have no doubt that these folks would use harsh techniques on our people if given the chance. Again, why do we want to stoop to their level? As far as gaining info, do what it takes and shut up about it. Again, the question is, do they work?

Why do you suppose Mr. Obama's administration refuses to release documentation on the results obtained by waterboarding then? More harm than good to who? If they got intelligence on terror cells, methods, or any other useful info, it's hard to see how that does more harm than good.

There is also no clear consensus that waterboarding constitutes torture. Torture is typically associated with some physical disfigurement like pulling out fingernails, etc. After being waterboarded, the only after affect is maybe an aversion to water, but I don't think those guys were big on washing anyway.

Does anyone seriously believe being nice to the likes of Iran is going to make them be nice back? I mean really now, are there people out there who sincerely believe that? Has anyone been watching while middle eastern radical Muslims have killed innocent people since the 1970's?

War on terror is not a conventional war against a country as in the past. They don't treat our prisoners by the Geneva convention, whether they are military or reporters. they just cut their head off plain and simple. why is waterboarding such a big deal. If you had family in the towers, what would everybody have done to the people when they caught em. Me personally, I would have cut off pieces and then used a cutting torch to cauterize the wound so I could do it again.

If there is 20 years left, I bet that then when you look back Bush will look a lot better than BHO

In cases of dealing with Terrorist, terrorist orgs or countries with leaders who want to kill us...or have done so I let my inner beast out and I say kill them! I don't care about politics or feelings or impressions I just break it down to putting myself in the shoes of a loved one who had to deal with a loss due to someone else and their beliefs.

The way I see it is....
You scratch my face I'll crush yours, you mess with my child you will want to be dead. You kill a family member even in the name of "Allah" you and anyone like you will die... if I can do it with my hands I'll do so. I am a simple man when it comes to friends, family, loved ones, personal property or pets....don't mess with them because I'll go Medieval on your arse.

I don't support any politician or party on this topic because they are usually playing politcs, which means lie's, deceit and self serving ways. How can you believe anything they say?

Sorry to get so strongly to the point....but pussyfooting around and being concerned about feelings or impressions isn't my cup of tea. All people have the instincts of protecting loved ones but trying to be smart, political and careful just dumbs it down.
