Green River vs Barren

I usually bass fish Kentucky lake but want to fish a little closer to Louisville. Would you go to Green River or Barren? Do they fish similar to KY lake with ledges? I have never been to either and probably won't go very often just need some tips. Thanks

Go to Barren. In my opinion it is a much better to fish there than Green.

i would go to barren to it is a much easyer lake to fish then green. plus green has ben off as of late from what i have herd haven't fished it in about a month.

Fished Green Sat. and Sunday night. The water is in better shape than Barren right now. Green has been off the last couple of weeks due to the water being pulled a foot a day. It is now at summer pool and the fishing has improved. Sat. night we caught 2 good fish a 5 and a 7.2. Green has been producing some good fish the last couple of years. Sun we did not get on any big fish but we caught a few good 2 lbers. They are scattered out and can be caught about anywhere. Our best luck came on points next to pockets and some secondary points in the larger pockets. Most fish were 6 to 9 ft. deep. Best luck was in Corbins area on the rounded points and the mouths of the pockets across from Ramp 1 and Jodys camp. Short arm spinnerbaits produced best but some were caught on soft plastics as well.
