Here's the experience I would hope she has. Know the constitution and rule accordingly. I don't care where she came from or where she is going. From what I remember lady justice is blind. A judge should not see what color a person is or the background of that person. Rule based on the law. If life history is so important than why did we have such a hard time getting Justis Thomas confimed. I don't want anyone feeling my pain, just rule based on the law.

He would be called a RACIST.......

Geo, guess I'm reading it differently than you. Just revealing things that may bias her descisions. We all have them. As far as the "wise Latina woman" versus "white male", if the male does not have the same life experience as the woman, they will have different conclusions. Sounds to me like she is comparing someone with experience to someone who does not have that experience.

Mainly so he could gain control of the Bolshevik party. However, ethnocentrism is human nature. To argue that "racism," and ethnocentrism are wrong is to argue that human nature is flawed. It very well could be, but to believe human nature can be re-engineered, well, good luck making that argument.

Is Sotomayor an anti-White, pro-Latino piece of filth? Most certainly.

Want to talk about "racism," in it's misrepresented modern definition? There wasn't a single white person considered for the position of Supreme Court Justice. Soon enough, if we allow it to happen, White folks will be purged from the White house.

My definition of "racism" is making value judgements about other people based strictly on their race. As many times as this woman has repeated those comments, I have to wonder if maybe she does fit that mold. But, if she were some outstanding jurist, I'd give her the benefit of the doubt, but I don't really see that, either, given how many of her decisions have been overturned.

It's a fact of life that Supreme Court Justices are always going to lean to the right or the left, and their appointments are always going to be political, so yeah, I'd like to see one that's a little to the left, but I still wish Obama could have come up with someone better. And it DOES make a difference. It might not make a difference in the overall makeup of court immediately, but we're replacing a RETIRING justice with one that could be on the bench for twenty years or so. She could one day be the "swing vote," or who knows, maybe even Chief Justice

White guilt has allowed many racial injustices all in the name of payback. I get pissed off to the highest order when I see a person man or woman get appointed because of their race or stay because of their race. IMO...that dumbs down the society.
