DONE with Barren River Lake

Barren river lake is my fav lake, I have gone there since i was a kid to go ski and tube well the last 2 years i have got big into fishing and have been fishing barren. Well 2day WE started fishing around 8 am and we fished intill 6pm we thru crank baits, spinners, worms, lis, topwater and jigs you name it all day went all the way from the park intill skaggs ended in a bunch of trees, we saw fish on the fishfinder we tried fishing deep we tried fishing brush we tried fishing banks we tried fishing rock walls and not 1 bite all dam day. Ive had it I really believe that the lake has been fished out! I think that all the fish has seen everything under the sun tossed at them and thats it! when I was a kid we could catch a fish with a hotdog! but that lake is to much Pulled up and i have never seen the like of trucks and boat trails so i knew it was going to be packed and everytime i go its allways like that. I know some of you are going to say im crazy for this post but i dont care i have had it with not catching any fish on that dam lake.

Sorry to hear that you have been struggling at the BRL. We had an incredible day there last monday, one that will keep me going back to the BRL for years to come! We hit a cove in Skaggs and were throwing cranks in 7ft of water, and we just KILLED THEM! I mean, every cast for about an hour! Then it was steady the rest of the evening. It was a blast. And the fish were all nice, including a few 4 pounders. Apparently, pastorbass had a similar day yesterday throwing a C-Rig. I don't know where he was, but sounds like they killed them too. Don't give up, they are in there! We are heading back up there on Mon or Tues. I'll report back on how we do. Hang in there brother.
