I don't have any experience with the Mojos, but I can tell you that a rod with a split-handle grip makes the rod more sensitive than anything you have ever fished. It takes weight out of the rod, making it lighter and more sensitive to feel even the lightest of bites

I fish with Shimano Cumaras, and they are by far the most sensitive rods I have ever held in my hands. They are a split-grip rod as well.
I think once you pick up a split-grip, you'll probably want to make all the rods in your arsenal the same type. You'll also be able to feel what you've been missing, whether it's light bites or sensitivity.
