Sage for fly fishing-HANDS DOWN
My fav right now is a 7' All Star mh. It is super strong and sensetive, but my next rod will be a carrot stix. I have heard awsome things about them and I will give one a try. Plus its orange-GO VOLS.... Later smoke
GLX all the way.
mine is the johnny morris spinning rod or my falcon 7 foot mh most of all my rods are some type of bps rods. and i love all those too.
i have a g loomis glx bronzeback 6'8'' spining rod that is unreal on how sensative it is... now these rods are high as groceries but shoot they feel amazing....i only have 1 of em but i think its quite possibly the most sensitve rod on the market.
I use the 6'3" bronzeback fast action spinning rod. It's sensitive and strong. Used it to bring in a 28 lb asian carp yesterday (pix on photo board.) Yes, they are expensive but you can find very good deals on them if you look around. Most all good manufactures have a lifetime warranty with replacements. I've accidentally rolled up rod tips in the truck window, sent them back to loomis and had a replacements sent back within days.
Shimano Crucial and Cumara. I have a wide array from 6'8" to 7'6". Best rods I have ever used, and I have owned GLoomis, St. Croix, Bass Pro Shop brands, among others. Also best value for quality. Who wants to dish out $300.00+ every time they want a new rod? Also, their warranty procedure can't be beat. No charge and switch them out at a Shimano dealer each time you break one. Other companies try to charge you for a replacement.......
