Went last nite water temp 76 at about 7pm stayed until 4am 74. Put in at Jamestown lots of boat traffic. Went left out of the marina worked down along the wall to the first creek Lilly. Tossing slivers, storms, deep shallow, jigs Gulp alive. Nothing fished up down though there back and east to the next creek Caney. Same deal went back up in there caught 1 next 2-3# walleye that was it. Using a bagel 12' deep trolling right next to the bank. Talked some guys they doing the same thing no luck. Lots of guy in these creeks maybe try some where not so much Traffic!!!!!
Fished last friday night from 7:30p.m. til about 3:00a.m. and caught 8 keepers and 1 walleye best 5 weighted 12lbs. Not the greatest night i've had but not a bad night either, beats working!!!
I went sat nite and did great as well. I had 3 largedouth 17" plus, 16" kentuck, and a 20 smallmouth. Also had 2big smallmouth get off just as we went to net them and another that im not sure bout if it was a keeper or not. All in jamestown area.
Went last thur and had 9 keeper Walleye......Heard maybe 2 or 3 blowups all night . Walleye were smaller than usual 22" down to barely keeper...........I guess the topwater Striper bite is just not going to happen....seems to me in years past by the time the water was mid 70's it was over..........hopefully im wrong........

I'm hearing a few scattered reports of limited topwater striper activity over the last week or too. Most have been short stripers. I agree with the above posters, its pretty much not going to happen this year. It may still be possible to go out and hit a few here and there on top at night, but I would be surprised if it were real consistent. Next year.....

I thought they would be easier to target with the water down and there being less gray shale for them to use. Turns out they didn't mind using the soft banks which are pretty much everywhere, so they are spread out even more... I think we'll have to wait for the water to come back up hefore we can get em back on the pattern. I didn't even bust my buns on it much this year, with all the poor reports.
