    Fishing Owensboro Area ?

I'm going to be in Owensboro for a Softball Tournament Wed and Thursday, and was wondering if there was anything close by for a feller to fish. No boat so looking for some bank areas. Crappie to Gills as long as something bites. Thanks!

You will probably be playing ball @ Jack C Fisher park. You can fish Carpenter & Kingfisher lakes approx 10 miles East of Owensboro. Take Hwy 60 East out of town, merge right onto Hwy 144 when you are in front of the OMU power plant, go approx 1 1/2 miles and turn left onto Hwy 405 to the lakes.

That's where the State Tourney is being held. Thanks Triton! We have an off day Thursday while the ladies practice so thought I'd slip away for the day.

When you pull into the park, the lake next to the one with the bridge is stocked with trout. Something to think about.
