    Carolina Rig

Believe it or not I never have thrown this rig before, I picked up some rigs at bass pro. Any pointers, I know it is used for deep water when the fish aren't biting.

Don't limit yourself to deep water with this rig. You can fish it shallow to deep and fast to slow. It's pretty versatile.

throw it on a long rod 7' or 7+, keep the rod down and set the hook with a sweeping motion...KP

At least a 7 foot rod. Agree with the other posts. No limits for this rig.

    Re: Carolina Rig

You can't fish a rig slow enough. Many people fish them too fast to be as effective as it could be. If the bottom feels good and rocky, I will often pause it for up to a minute, take up a couple of feet and do the same again.
