I think we can all agree that it's ALL an oil deal If it weren't for oil, we probably wouldn't have been propping up the Shah all those years ago, which is what got a lot of the current anti-American sentiment started. And without the money the oil brings, all those Muslim theocracies wouldn't be so rich and powerful in the first place.
