Hook size's for BIG WORMS

I was using a 5/0 offset gammy and kept losing fish well elite series pro bill lowen was fishing an open tx on the river and I asked him what size hook would give me better hookups he said a 3/0 offset because a 5/0 would go into a fishes brain and kill them.hope that helps.

Never heard of that nor have I done that. Sure sounds odd...I'll keep it the way I do it.
