Good reports have been few and far between. But not for the lack of effort, as there have been LOTS of boats out there after the night bite. Maybe time to swith off and think about night time SM???

Is anyone catching fish at night, on top water? I was there last weekend, but didn't have much luck in all the wind. I actually hooked up with one fish after day break, on a Red Fin, but that was it. This past weekend, I heard very few fish come to the top to feed. Anyone having luck?

Hearing that its picked up a little of late, but no first hand knowlege. Don't know how long it will last either.
Thanks for the information gentlemen. Last weekend, we caught several smallmouths right up next to the banks, at night. The majority of our fish were caught on small soft plastic baits (worms, baby brush hogs, etc...) thrown to main lake points and secondary points. I'd venture to say we caught some 40+ fish, but none to really brag about. The biggest was a 17" largemouth. We were there to catch the stripers, but very few surfaced. I understand they were were pulling the water hard on c'land just prior to our trip. Maybe that, alone, accounted for our not having any luck. If anyone goes this weekend, please post a report on the striper activity. I'd LOVE to hook up with stripers on top again. It's been about 5 yrs since I last tangled with them. Thanks again guys. Much appreciated.
