Humminbird 597ci help

I bought a humminbird 597ci and I can see lake detail through the simulation part of the unit with no problem. But when I get to the lake all I see is a white lake with the position of my boat and no lake detail. I have all the charts in the view category. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, by the way I have the 08 Navionics card installed also.

Not all lake's are on the chart's it's mostly just the major one's, and only 5 of them are in hi-def in Ky(Kentucky,barkley,C-land ,Dale and I think either Laurel or Barren) the rest of them (Nolin,rough etc) are not very detailed or accurate. Depending on which lake your going to it might not be in the data base.

i have no proublems with mine i have fished alot of lakes in ky, and all of them show up on mine. with the contour lines, depth ,and everything else. i dont know becouse mine is a 08 navionics hot spots map and it shows pretty much every lake in ky. if you go to navionics web site it will show you a list of all the lakes that are on that chip. and humminbird has a good service line with people who can help you can give them a call to.
