    Re: berkley photochromic?

That's a great question. Luckily my local tackle store carries the Berkley Trilene Maxx in Photochromic and orders it regularly. I have heard they changed the name, but I don't know what the new name is, or if it even exists anymore. I just know where to go to get it when I need it.

Berkley is no longer making the photochromic in the big game. Shimano 4 Life is correct, you can only get it in the Maxx now. But you better get as much as you can because Trilene has discountinued the photochromic color. This came from my good friend at the Cain Pole in Richmond. He still has 1/4 pound spools in stock of all sizes but said they wouldn't last long.

According to Berkley, the new Trilene Transoptic was shipped out to retailers last week and should soon be available. High vis above water, invisible below. I'll have to give it a try. This is might be why the photochromic is being discontinued???? Just a guess.

Berkley TransOptic was shipped out earlier this week to dealers. Not for sure if it's the same line or not.........or if it glows under a black light like Photochromic did. The site at Berkley said that the line took close to four years to develop and distribute.
