On the front of the lower unit mine has a small hole that feeds water to the tube. Before GPS I would always have to take a small drill bit and "with my fingers", drill the wood out of the hole. It would get jammed full of debris every trip out. Mine has been blocked for years now, GPS I don't care now. Hope this helps...
mine is the same i had to take a drill bit to it, but like you said with gps i dont care anymore.
