    Barren Help?

Has anyone been to Barren lately? I haven't been down there since last year and am heading down this weekend to camp out and do some fishing... I don't really know what to expect but it should be a good weekend to catch some fish without the frustration of a tournament... If anyone could help me on locations or techniques it would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

points near main lake channels. shallow with plastics depending on time of day, or crankbaits like a dt16 throwing in shallow and bumping the bottom comming out deeper. dont waste your time way back in the creeks.

Yep, main lake points, channel swings too (oposite of the point). Preferrably, chunk rock. If you can find some wood that goes from the surface into about 10', hang on cause one is gonna try to take the rod out of your hands. Good luck

Thanks guys... We had a good time and caught a good number of fish... The water cleared up quicker than I thought and it turned out pretty good.. I saw a bunch of the guys fishing the fom tournament and thats awesome he won.. We caught most of our fish crankin with DT16 in Parrot and a Deep Little N in Chart/Blue.. Threw a C-Rig quite a bit changed lengths and plastics and didn't get anything... Shakey head caught a good number of short fish and a pop r caught a couple slots and one keeper around the state ramp.. Most of the fish that were caught came from Beaver and around the Narrows...
