I know this thread may be old , but I have a AiRRUS Puls R rod , Ive had it since it first came out , got it before Ken Whitting went to E21. It is very sensitive , has the same handle as the carrot stik and I have not had one problem with it. It uses nano technology as well , just not carrot fibers.

Just get a berkley amp. Only 30 bucks. The reel seat isn't the best. Its lightweight and sensitive. I bought one to try it out. Now they will be the only rods on the deck of my boat except for an HMG. So far it has held up. I use them mainly for cranks, buzz, and spinnerbaits. If you break one....oh well. Better than breaking a 150 dollar rod. Biggest I've caught on them is a 4lber. Seemed to hold up fine.

I too like berkley rods. I have a couple of lightning rods I use almost every outing.

I would get it. They are good rods for the money.
