I just supervised... I am not mechanically inclined at all. Eddie Goode (fishing 4 kids) installed them for me. Takes a few hours. Mike Daleo at BlueWater has a DVD that explains the install very well. For the average do it yourselfer, it definately wouldn't be too difficult.
