Haven't been this week (yet), but I would assume the "river end" of the lake has some stained water, with it being murky, but clear towards midlake. Water temps were anywhere from 75-80 degrees in the river, depending on where you go. Hope this helps you.![]()
Before the rain, the water conditons were pretty good. Still up a little but the color was nice. Since the rains it has a little more color and has come up a foot or so. There is some debris floating, so keep an eye out.
Fished a small tourney there today, as usual I blanked because the lake was WAY up. Put in at chimney rock and the main launch lane was closed, had to use the alternate because of high water. There was some 6 limit fish weighed but could not tell where or on what they were caught on. One person told me that they only had a couple of keepers and had spit up small SNAKES. Lake was mostly clear BUT be careful of debris on the lake due to the high water. Seen lots of logs TIED together I reckon to keep the from floating out into the lake and doing some bad damage to boat props. Hope this helps.
