    Re: Tuckers information

Stand on the ramp and look towards the dam. First finger to left about halfway down right side bank find where rock/gravel bank tapers out kinda flat (5-10' deep). Middle finger on left side near "mouth" there will be some standing stumps/tree (8-10'). Just past timber, there used to be small mussel beds. If you can find the beds, 'ears are usually there. The point between the left and middle fingers tapers out and is gravel and rock. I have caught them there around 10' or so, depending on sun. Back end of middle finger gets very shallow and weedy, but they will sometimes be scattered near weed patches closer to deeper water. I have not fished the right finger much, but the rocky wall on the left side of the dam looks promising.

I have not been on the lake last year or this year, so this is old info. Tight lines.

Thanks Joe, that's the kind of information I'm looking for, not many fisherman would be willing to give that up. I'll definitely be sure to check out these hotspots, mussel beds sounds REAL promising!

    Re: Tuckers information

We caught 16, certainly not a great day, my dad caught the monster of the day, a 11 1/4 inch cracker. The remainder of the fish were several decent redears mixed in with some smaller bluegill.

I felt like we should've done better but we really didn't get that many bites. It's a beautiful lake and I'm sure there's some big panfish in there, but boy it's a long drive from the Jeffersonville area. It's easy to get lost on those old country roads leading into the lake too!

Thanks Joe for the tips, we did pick up a couple of decent redear in the finger by the dam that you suggested. We couldn't find the mussel beds in the middle finger though, maybe that's why we didn't have the success I thought we'd have.

    Re: Tuckers information

Glad you caught a few. Yes it is a long drive for me as well...that's why I haven't been in a while. The mussel beds were kinda small, about the size of a bath tub, and a few feet apart so they are hard to find. They may not be there any more either. I actually was able to see them when the water was ultra clear several years back or I would not have known they were there. Occassionally I have seen shells on the gravel/rock point between the left and middle fingers, but have not found any beds there. The beds I found were about 40-50 yds into the middle finger if my feeble memory serves correctly.
