Thanks, Andrew... I may get that one. Just looked at the Bass Pro and Berkley models and they sure do not look like they will hold an angry striper.. LOL
BTW, jigs coming along well. Had to punt a few times on the paint but I'm getting there.Time to earn my stripes with tieing next. Mass production is a LONG way off! LOL
Yeah, I'd guess the 30 lb boga will hold fish bigger than 30 lbs just not be able to weigh them. They are made well.
So we got a new jig manufacturer huh? I'll be down the weekend of the 4th if you come down then bring me one or two.. :-)
D, it's looking like I'm going to be your new neighbor - I'm going to pull the trigger on Tomi's trailer. I'm pumped!
Awesome! Congrats! You do know about that "other" neighbor of yours, don't ya??
Not sure if you want any out of this first batch. I'm a learn'n right now. I won't be down on the 4th unless things change but if I get some tied this week, I'll try to leave a sample or two for ya. I'm only making 1/2 oz ones for stripers and 1/4 undressed ones for bass right now. I am doing a few cool things like adding a glow coat to the chart. ones for night and deep trolling..
Sounds like the jigs are coming along. Keep the powder paint fluffed up by swirling a wire or something else through it after you do 3-4 jigs. You can also put the powder in a larger container so that it has more room to move about. With the jig head at the right temp, it should just be a quick swirl through the powder to coat it well. Took me a little getting used to before I got it down. Sooo, does this mean that I won't have to make any more jigs for me either

Well, tying 101 didn't go so well last night. I think I would have been fine if it wasn't for trying to get around the the spinner eye combined with "I'm too proud or stupid to wear specs". Thought about unscrewing them, tying, then screwing them back in.
I wouldn't jig up your "jig job" just yet..![]()
Him is pretty good at them ole jigs ain't he, lol.Well, tying 101 didn't go so well last night. Just takes a little practice. Unscrewing the eye would not be good. Once you put it back in it would be loose or would come loose rather easily.
Mark, its one of the few things in life I can get right, lol!

I did get a little better at it closer to the end. I'm gonna put me a set of specs in the work area and that will probably help me get around that eye better.
