I think they got the Curado E7 right in price performance but I generally agree that they appear to be constanty moving the average price for there nicer reels up the price ladder.Originally Posted by BanditMan
Just my opinion, but Shimano is shooting there self in the foot. They keep cutting models and coming out with more expensive duplicates. I talked to a rep about my Mg spinning reel being junk and he said he was sorry. Good luck to them. They got enough of my money.
My guess is that they had to eliminate the MG50 to create enough market room for a smaller slightly lighter version that would potentially cost more. Only time will tell the price point. Most guys are saying at $250 this new model would be a great value but most are betting it will be closer to $350.
