    Happy Father's Day

To all you Papa's out there may you have a nice relaxing day with your families.
I miss my Dad deeply, it may sound weird but I'm thinking of visiting his grave Sunday and drinking a beer with him. I'll open one for him and I'll drink the other and talk to him awhile.

If any of you fellas have something you been meaning to say to your Dad, say it while you got the chance. Take care guys and have a good one.

    Re: Happy Father's Day

I am going to take my kids wading Elkhorn Sun. afternoon. It's become a Father's Day tradition.

The kids will have to endure me telling endless stories about my dad taking me to some of the same places, and will have to resist the urge to swim, rather than fish, in the deep holes.

OK, I'll let them swim, but only after I've worked the hole.

Happy Father's Day Mark...sounds like a great idea...can't do that myself because my dad disappeared when I was just a little guy but I would be honored is someday my sons did exactly what you are planning.

    Well said mhall...

I'm going to have my Dad over to the house for some BBQ chicken and a little relaxation. He has been going through a tough time, so he needs a break for sure.

I know your visit with your Dad will be something special. Take your time and you will experience something that cannot be explained.

My dad has been dead all my adult life, the very time when I need his advice and guidance the most. Last week I found a couple of, long forgotten, pictures of him holding a string of large bass; he had a grin on his face a mile wide. The pictures were tucked away with some of my mother's favorite treasures and gifts from him. She died a year and a half ago and I found them while going through some of her things.

Happy Father's Day to all you wonderful dads!

Happy Father's day to all of you fish heads! Hey Bugs...that was a pretty cool little story you shared. I have a few very old pictures of my dad when he was at the lake too...they date back to the 50's mostly, some in the 60's...There's no pictures I look seeing better than the one's of dad being at the lake.
