Folks, I have had a heck of a time this year and I am gonna take a second to B and M. My Evinrude 4 stroke had a charging problem. So I ask around and get the name of a repair shop close to where my boat is on Cumberland. First the guy says he needs two to three weeks to get to it and I needed to send them a key so I mailed it to them. No problem because it was the beginning of the boat season. I get a call after a MONTH asking for the key. they said they never got it to which now I say BULL. Anyway, I arranged for a key to be at the boat for them and they said they would take care of it Monday I also asked if they would do some other things, one of which was to replace the impeller. I called them a weekend a half later and they STILL had not got to it. They finally did and all seemed well until the end of the first weekend. I was making the longest run of the weekend back to the dock and it cut out three times, running through the diag lights each time. I didn't think anything of it, so the next weekend we take her out and it does it again. I add some fuel treatment but the final trip in, it died all together. While looking at it, i notice the motor seemed more warm than usual. I called the following Monday, and the guy says he will take care of it before the weekend following the one coming up. I didn't really think anything of it, and went down on the weekend only to find he hadn't done anything. The boat would start up, but I noticed that the water was not churning at the base of the motor like it usually does. The upper port gets clogged from mud dobbers so you can never go by that. I called AGAIN and they said that he would be over there on Thursday. I called Friday of last week and couldn't reach anyone, but some folks were down and it STILL wasn't fixed. I have called every day but one this week with no answer. I have left messages that are not returned. The final message told them that it was my last call to them, and I would be contacting someone else if I didn't hear back from them by last night. Well, no call, so this morning I filed a complaint with the BBB, which they are members. I started this before spring, the season is half over, and I STILL do not have a boat that works. Pissed I am. I'll not give the name hear unless they allow me to. I can provide the BBB Complaint Tracking Number if ya want but I don't want anyone else to have to go through this sort of a nightmare..
