Latest today/last night inch plus and counting. This weeks total well over 2 inches a little closer to 3. I've got mushrooms growing in my yard.

Well we hit major rain and hail on the way but it turned out to be a nice evening. Alot of cars were pulled over on the Interstate but we kept on trucking...it really wasn't that bad but the hail sounded bad as it hit the truck.

When hail starts hitting the truck I start being concerned...because for me I ain't about to buy a newer one anytime soon so I wanna keep this old 97 model looking as good as I can for as long as I can.

Man...........My 97 F-150 is still ticking also........but I'm not driving it.........I found a STEAL of a deal on a 2006 a few years ago, and ponied up the smack for it.

I still see my truck in the neighborhood, as I sold it to a guy down the street. He had a landscaping bus, and needed the LONG bed, and tow package, which worked out GREAT.

AND with all the cash I put in that truck the past 4-5 years, it should run for at least another 10..........

    Later,

    Geo

Got a 95 ext cab Z71 Chevy with 70k on it that looks great and drives great. It does ride like a truck and I put over sized tires on it. It's great!
Bought it brand new and will keep it until it won't stay together or die trying.

We kept on trucking because it was a FORD BABY!

Wipers on high, foot in the gas, and through the hail we went. It did sound worse than it was - No dents in my rig that I can find today.

I have pretty decent sized tires on mine too...no lift kit or anything, just decent sized tires. Do you have any rust in your's that you know of? As for mine there's a little (very little) on the very bottom of the door skins...I've already went to a junkyard and bought two doors off of a 98 model to replace them with at some point. I'm in no hurry to replace them because you can't even tell there's any rust there unless you're feeling around for it. I intend to replace the motor one day whenever that time comes, assuming GM will still be producing parts like they are today. 118,000 miles and so far so good and besides, we all know "it's cheaper to keep her" no matter what!

    Re: Rain and Storms

Let me tell you not to make any plans on July 9th through the 13th. I will be in the Smokies to fly fish, so it will rain, rain, rain, storm, rain some more and probably rain a bit. You guys that are fishing in central and northern Kentucky that weekend should be good, but if you are in southeast KY, go somewhere else....I am just saying.
