Creek fishing

the new river is awesome, thats for sure! i just love the atmoshpere of the creeks! nothing like wading a while then floating a while. if i lived near a few good creeks, i probably would not own a bass boat honestly. thats how much i enjoyed doing this. heck, my favorite things to fish around where i live are creeks off the river! i guess im a creeker!

I agree on the creek fishing, i went wading/ canoeing the other evening for just a few hours before dark and caught some great smallmouth. Nothing is better to me than a good creek/ river smallmouth on light tackle!

Bluejeans, tennis shoes, and the Little Kentucky make for a great afternoon. Little tubes, sliders, and old reliable Mepps #2 slay the smallmouth. Couple other nice creeks in Henry County that produce very well also with good access points.

The New River is truly something very special. But we are pretty blessed here in this state to have such great flows accessable. Now if we could only keep them free of trash and people that don't follow the regulations...
