that made me lol literally..... but i would say this weekend coming up will be a dangerous one out there on any of the lakes in ky and especially on the roads too....... i have came to the conclusion that some people are oblivious to the dangers on the lake.... best one i have ever seen on the lake was at barren last year... a family with there dog was out on the lake.... the family had a lifejacket on their little dog and they had 2 young kinds about 2 years old or so without lifejackets on...... beats all i have ever seen.....

Dynatrak, I had the exact same thing happen to me. In the exact same spot during the week. Passed within 10 ft of my bow at 60-70mph. Which is why I will never be back. Glad everyone is ok.

I think if you are fishing in the middle of lake by the boat lanes that you are just asking for trouble. As for me I always idle by anyone fishing in this area, but most do not.

What does it say in the boating guide? I don't recall it stating that your asking for trouble. I'll read it a bit slower and see if I catch that.

Funniest thing, but a whole lot safer, is to sit at Settlers Trace on Memorial Day, July 4th, & Labor Day and watch the newbies try to load, unload, and back up their new boats. We watched a guy last year jackknife his boat into the side of a new 20' Skeeter. Not a pretty sight. We watched one guy just give up and got someone else to back his boat into the water. I can imagine how they would be out on the lake with their 75 mph boat. Scarey thoughts indeed.

    no doubt.

i went this morning and just so happened to be putting in right next to the game warden/creel man. he hadn't put his boat in the water and already wrote up someone for bank fishing there at the rip rap at the dam and holding undersized fish. catfish i believe, but still in my head i was thinking, "ROCK ON MR. GAME WARDEN!"

nice man, i saw him all day long. good to see fish and wildlife down there.

i mentioned to him about the lack of courtesy and crazy driving going on like what happened to me and ron thursday morning. he understood what i was talking about and said the kdfw had received a lot of phone calls about this problem.

i say keep calling; someone post that number again for RON MUSE so that we'll keep it near the top. i'd LOVE to see a few people start getting ticketed for wreckless driving down there.

nobody needs to make a 90 degree turn at 70 miles an hour. for that matter, if someone is fishing there i will go around.
