out fished by a 6 year old

Probably my best day of fishing was last summer on the flats in Florida with my 5 year old daughter in a kayak. We spotted some tailing redfish close by and she made the cast, set the hook and fought a 5 lb. plus redfish to the side of the kayak while sitting in my lap! Then she did it again!!! Two 5lb plus redfish in half an hour! Every day from then on all she did was ask when we were going again and does to this day. Best fishing day I have EVER had. Can't wait to do it again!

awesome post i love to hear about kids getting hooked on the great outdoors! my son is now 24yrs old and thanks to spending time with him fishing and hunting hes grown up to be a good guy and best of all were best buds.
