Cave Run at Night

I posted a report a few weeks back from cave run with some luck i had in the morning. Will be taking the girlfriend night fishing thursday before the big crowds show up but havent fished it at night since last year. Anybody been out there lately? Just wondering if i should head up the lake or stay near the deeper end.

I've been hitting the deeper areas the last couple of weekends. Been on and off for me. I've been doing better just before dark than after dark. This past weekend was real slow, previous weekend was pretty good on topwater.

Fished Cave Run Saturday morning. Water temp @81 degrees and clear. We found tough fishing for bass of any size. Caught 1 decent bass and many, many small ones. Primarily fished Senkos and some crank baits. Most action was on Senkos. Ramp was getting pretty crowded when we pulled out a 11:00 AM. I sure it will be a circus this week-end. Be careful.

Your girlfriend goes night fishing with you? You need to put her in the livewell (and a ring on her finger) because she's a keeper!

HA! She is a keeper...girl likes fishing almost as much as me and i'm a freak about it. Thanks for the info guys and will post something after we're done. Had a lot of luck last summer at dark with black/blue fleck worms but that was in august and september.
