    Re: Dead Sea Taylorsville ??

I was there last Tuesday, Friday night, and today. Water level is at summer pool and the water looks great. Caught about 12 hybrids Tuesday night with one going around 6 pounds. Most were in that 1 pound range. Friday night was bass fishing and it was ok. Today was hybrids and only caught 6 in the small range again. Most of them I have been picking up are in the "hump' area. I little bit of jump activity and tons a shad up in the creeks just waiting to be eatten. It should be getting real good here in a week or so.

Fished last night with a buddy. Whites and or hybrids never came up with anything organized. Alot of single or one to three fish hitting threadfins on top. Caught one keeper largemouth 15 1/2 inches and Quick released another half way to the boat that would have been 15 inches plus. Several other smaller ones and that was that. Lost keeper on Arkie double tail grub jig. Other keeper came off top and caught a few others on top, various plastics and one on a spinnerbait.

Water temps anywhere from 85.7 down to 83.4 out on the main lake. Lots and lots of pleasure boaters and skier's. Ramp was a Zoo at dark trying to get out, a real show for awhile, lol.

It is a mess getting off the water in the late afternoon. I don't know if I should laugh or cry watching some of these people try to back down a ramp. The ramp can handle something like four trucks at a time and I swear half of them just sit there if two trucks are backed up at a time. I can ususally back mine down. Walk over to the obat and pull it onto the trailer and get it strapped down before the man backing it down can yell at his wife enough to get her to pull it on halfway before stopping because she is afraid of scratching their ocean liner. I could win America's Funniest Video if I could just sit there one evenning videoing some of the scenes I have come across their. I saw a guy Tuesday that ran his 50 thousand dollar boat cruising down the main lake with the nose of his boat pointed amost to the sky. I had to laugh that one day he will figure out what a trim switch is for.

He may have forgotten to put his plug in and had too much water on-board to get on plane.

I saw that happen also and the scarey thing was, he was a dealer at a local boat dealership who was showing off for some girl. He actually had the plug in but forgot to put the main plug in after winterizing. I was a little embarressed for him and I guess I should have been nice and offered his girl a ride on my bass boat.
