The transducer broke on my trolling motor. Can it be taped on until I get a new one? Thanks Ryan.
It is a Lowrance and the bracket broke on some rocks.

Depending on how it broke (and where) you can probably use some waterproof epoxy (kinda like play dough in a stick form you kneed it together and it changes color) some will even set up underwater and hold! I don't believe any tape would hold with the water and pressure of the TM ???
Make certain it's VERY clean (rubbing alcohol, mineral spirits or acetone...... the latter probably best IF it won't damage the surface) hold pressure on the mount for a good while and IF possible find some way to keep it held under pressure for 24 hours or so![]()
Mine did the same thing. Went and got fiberglass kit a Wal-Mart, put epoxy at the break and wraped fiber cloth on the out side and sand and painted. Works well, and have hit several rock's and has not broke off yet.
Fixed mine with JBWeld. 3 months and still looking good.
Can I put tape over the transducer it self?
I don't see why not. They shoot thru hulls. Try it.
Broke mine 2 years ago. Repaired it with JB Weld, touched it up with some black paint. Works perfect.
