Boated up to the upper dam Thurs am and caught several nice hybrids/stripes...largest 8.5#. Fish were in current breaks and hit jigs and blade baits...bigger fish all came on jig/grub combos.

Went back Sat morning and water had dropped considerably from Thurs (approx 3'?). No hybrids for us, but others were on the catfish pretty good. One feller was sitting in the channel and said he had a 45#'er earlier. Some of the shorefishers were hitting the sauger in a couple spots as well.

Every one was killing the cats this weekend. Too bad all I was fishing for were hybrids and saugar with only a couple dink saugar to show for me efforts! Grr! When are the hybrids going to show up in full force?!
