    Goofball at the Falls!!!!

Just want to say thanks to the arrogant man who smokes in the 19ft camouflaged Triton Frontier with the gray two stroke 90 Yamaha. You truly are the rudest person I've ever seen on the Ohio River.

He kindly drove up and parked 10 yards in front of me while I was standing on the outer fossil beds this morning thigh deep in water, completely running over the school of fish I was fishing and blocking 90% of the water I was fishing. He and his partner then proceeded to hook my line 20+ times over an hour period, the fish I hooked tangled around his boat and anchor line. Finally after leaving he ran 30mph up the Indiana side past all the other boats anchored up.

One day you will need help and I sure as heck won't be the one to give it.

    Best of luck man!

What they do on some of the Florida sites I go to is take cell phone pics and post them there for everbody to see. I might try it next time. I wonder what would have happened if you would have kept throwing jigs up on his deck trying to snag his rods? If he said anything you could just say "well the fish were right there before you pulled up in front of me."

There's A holes all over the world but a huge percentage of them also have boats. People should have to start out with a canoe then move up to the size boat they want. There would be alot fewer of these guys running around.

You gave a pretty good description of the boat seeing as how you were so close an all....I'm sure as many of us as there are that fish the falls, someone will run across this guy again. Keep your cell phones at the ready.

That's how it is over there. Its a thousand times worse when sauger and whites are running heavy. Its almost one of those things you gotta put up with or go somewhere else. Its a very rude and unfortunate situation. One solution is tie on a 3/4 oz jig and smack their boat a few times and make it just as miserable for them as it is for you. Can't kill em all with kindness.

Talking Re: Goofball at the Falls!!!!

Good food for thought....should we consider starting a new board showing photos, info on "inconsidrate boaters such as this? Yes..yes.., but then no..no...their could be legal impications to this. Just keep on posting and get the word out on each of the guys.

Grumman you know how some of them are down there as you've been going awhile now. All that said it does blow my mind down there sometimes with the stuff I see people do. Did this guy have one of those river runner cage thing around his lower unit. Makes it look like it's jet propelled when running at high speed. I think we saw this same guy you are describing.

You know honestly I've watched some really good boaters down there and some that are clueless. It's the clueless ones that I'm not sure even realize sometimes what they are doing is wrong. Others just don't care and will do whatever they want. It's interesting sometimes to say the least, lol.

Boone....... I like your idea but don't know if it would work, lots of issues with that one.

I don't know about the lower unit, he was smacking the heck out of rocks on the way up to me, so I'm guessing that he does. My observation was he has lots of money and no friends. He wore khaki pants, nice brown belt, new white shoes, nice camouflaged long sleeve shirt and fleece jacket. Never seen dress clothes on the river.

He ran up on plane right by 3 or 4 boats that where anchored up in the channel.
I asked him as he got closer where he was going and he pointed down right in front of me and said here. I responded are you serious and he said yes, laughed and threw out the anchor.

It shocked me so much I really didn't have much to say.

The boat is a pretty deep boat, I wouldn't call it a deep "V" but it is deeper than your typical aluminum hull trackers, john boats, or war-eagle boats.

i am speechless i guess the guy thought he was better because he had a boat and u was a wading that is just sad... i dont know the area u are talkign about but there are people like that everywheres i rekon.... i have came to the conclusion that the more money people have the better they think they are than you or they think more is entitled to them.... and in all reality we all came into this world the same way and put our britches on the same way every morning..... but there is a place for everyone in this old world.....
