BassKing, it seems by the replies you have gotten that most of us may feel as you. Maybe swimbaits should be listed in the speciality bait catagory. By that I mean it is a bait you don't use every day because there are the cranks, spinnerbaits and grubs that may work just as well and not so expensive. However, when they are not being used they sure look good in your tackle box, and you keep saying..."Boy, they sure should catch fish." Swimbaits fished in the right places and the right times will catch fish. I think deep trolling and jigging can be productive for striper bass, or jigging humps and off-structure for largemouth. I keep a few of the hard plastic ones in my tackle box because they look so pretty. Some are a work of art and would look really good on wall.
