Moved from Georgetown to Frankfort a couple of weekends ago and this is my first post since the move. In the hospital last monday night with pain in my stomach, I know what this is, released at 3am to come and see my surgeon at 8am Tuesday, admitted at noon Tuesday and surgery performed on wednesday. Another hernia surgery, Lucky #14 Hernia operation, Lucky #22 operation overall. Surgeon put me in to hopefully do the procedure laproscopic but we all know how my luck runs. Finds a huge hernia and fixes it plus finds a tear in another spot of one about to bust loose and fixes that one as well. No lapro here, nothing that a 7 inch cut and 47 staples on the outside won't fix. Tells my wife that I can't lift over 5 lbs for 2 months minimum and that he was running out of creative places to repair me. Had to sew the mesh to the muscle tissue this time because no other place to sew it to was available due to the past surgeries, scar tissues and existing mesh and other stuff already in place. This is par for the course for me, 1 acre to mow, plan on push mowing it because we don't have a riding mower and now this happens. My buddy Chunk has already offered to do the mowing the rest of the year, Best Buddy a guy can have. Thanks Jeff for the help on the room, Bonefish for the visit and help in the ER. Still have the best sugeon in the world and if he says he is running out of creative ways to fix me then I believe him. Happy 4th to you all, I celebrated early by coming home Friday night.
