My Lowrance 332c has died.

I have a 510c as a back-up but now must make a decision on what to replace it with. Should I go with a HDS unit? I have heard that the side imageing units are not of much use for Striper fishing.
Any thoughts out there from you guy's?

I don't have first hand knowledge of the side imaging but I think they would be perfect for striper fishing. being able to see bait balls, fish, and the actual structure (like channel ledges) fish are relating to from side to side would seem to almost be cheating..

I like the hummingbird screen shots better than the HDS ones I've seen..

You need to call Linda Colt at Lowrance and work directly with her. If she can't get you a new one for free she can deeply discount a better replacement. Your boat's to pretty for that little 332 anyway.
