My buddy and I was fishing the Ohio River at Warsaw. We started fishing the Indiana size and caught 3 small one so we decided to move to the Kentucky side and try our luck.
We fished for 3 hours and caught a total of 20 fish and 6 keepers, no large bass but keepers ranging from 12"-15" nothing over 2 and half pounds. Caught 2 8# catfish that really slimed up the boat before we got her unhooked.
The day before I took my son fishing for a while who is 7 and on the first cast, he follows is bait into the water. He fell in head first while trying to grap anything on the side of the boat as he was falling in. He is a pretty good swimmer and had on a life vest so he came back boat got in and everything was OK, wet but OK!! He went on to catch is first ever flat head catfish. I was about 12" long.
Great job, and great job keeping a life vest on your son, people dont realize how quickly things can go bad in that river, if he had not had his vest on, who knows what could of happened to your son. Glad he was ok, and he caught his first flathead, they are a blast, even the small ones.
