I have not used the Middle Creek ramp (Hwy 111) this year, but I stopped to look last weekend. There is one usable lane in approx the center of the ramp...maybe slightly to the upriver side. It can get shallow, but I have always been able to launch my 17' deep-V there. I don't like leaving my truck there either, but so far I haven't had any problems.
As far as the Clarksville ramp goes, when the water level is this low, there is usually not any current problems from the upper dam. It is my ramp of choice right now.
IF there are repairs to the New Albany ramp, I would like to see a small wing dam just above the ramp to help protect it from high current or barge wash. I would think the initial expense would pay off in the long run by saving erosion on the ramp. Just my two cents...
Joe
