Barkley report

Well i spent about a week down on southern barkley. I feel i learned quite a bit more about ledge and offshore fishing. Fishing early in the week was a little tough but i still managed some good fish. Late in the week, Friday and then Saturday when weather was permitting we did real good with the wind kick starting the bite. Caught two over 5 and some nice 4lbers. I was fishing a dt 16 and a big plastic worm when they quit biting the crank. i know its nothing special for these lakes but it was alot of fun, and i hope to continue learning more and more about these ledge fish. Dave Stewart, id just like to say thanks for your reports theyve helped me in the past and they helped me this time around to. Id like to book a trip with you next June because i know i could learn so much from bein in the boat with someone with all that knowledge at your fingertips.

Those are a couple of nice fish. Thanks for the kind words about my report...I do spend a lot of time getting my info together and publishing the report and it is nice to know that folks appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing you next June...just call me when you are ready to book your trip.

Stevens you are so right I would love to find this type report on every lake I fish. A guide who fishes every day can stay on fish and tell what they are doing and a weekend fisherman who may fish twice a month this information is wonderful and really helps you to start fishing in the right areas and using the right baits and technique. Stevens you are going to be amazed at how much info you will get from Dave on his guide trip.


I think it is rare that a great guide like Dave shares all the info he does. I want to tell you Dave I also appreciate your service.


Dave I hope you run your classes again this winter the ice storm messed every thing up last winter but I thing it is a great idea I am going to sign up.

Thanks again for the kind words. I don't mind sharing the info that I do...glad it has helped some folks catch some fish. I will be running the classes again this winter...check my fishing reports in October and November and you will see it advertised...I have not set my dates yet, but right now I expect to run the class all during Jan and Feb with a few in December.
