Noodles, the foam kids use for floatation when swimming, work really well when cut into 8-12" sections. The line, swivel, sinker wrap around very easily and you can insert the hook into the noodle. I carry mine in a mesh backpack that came with my B Mobile turkey decoy.

Some folks get elaborate with them and insert a longer capped section of PVC thru the center of the noodle. When you tie off to the extended portion if the PVC, the noodle will stand upright indicating that you have a fish on.

To help find mine, I have reflective tape on each and they are numbered.

How long is the piece of PVC pipe do you use? Do you have to use the PVC?
