I was at Meldahl last weekend (bank fishing) but saw what looked to me like warning buoys at the end of the locks and never saw a single boat beyond that point.I have been on other rivers and saw a man and his young son get in serious trouble by getting too close to a release gate,we called in to help get them rescued.The son managed to climb onto a ledge of the dam and the man was hanging on for dear life to his boat which was he lost anyway.Wasn't a pretty sight.
