    Barren Help?!?

Going to take my son camping for the first time, and was going to take the boat and put him on some hybrids. All he has caught to this point is crappie and bluegill and thought he would have a blast with these. We are staying at the narrows campground. I usually fish between the islands there and do pretty well late and real early. Problem is that I have not fished there for 3 years. Any help would be great.

    Thanks

Hasn't changed over the past 3 years...around and embetween the islands, early morning and evening best. If you have any erie dearies, I suggest using them in a 3/4oz size, silver or white with either a nightcrawler or 3" white grub tail as trailer. Good luck and let us know how you do!

    Re: Barren Help?!?

i dont fish for these, but i can tell you where i usually see several of them schooling on my si unit. maybe you can try these spots. if you are directly in front of the narrows facing the break wall with the little flashing lights on it. do 180 degrees and face the bank behind you. you will notice it turns from mud on the left to rock on the right. where it turns into rock fish about 80ft out in the deep water. they are all over the place right here in the late afternoon. you will even see them popping all over the top of the water. i see them here all the time as i am looking for bass and scanning that mud flat. when its dark large schools of them are at the top of grass and goose island. and i also see several of them at the hogs back, most of them at the hogs back are in this area. going thru the hogs back toward the dam, go left as you go thrugh. i think this may be called mason island. anywhere down that streatch in deep water. i see them on the si unit all the time in these areas. hope this helps.
