rough river bluegill help???????

I am buying a small weekend getaway down at rough river lake and i was wondering if anyone gets any decent bluegills there? i fish there frequently for hybrids but haven't tried bluegill. I'm sure it's like most places where you can go out this time of year and catch alot but are there many decent or nice ones. thanks in advance for any info.

There are some good 'gills in there in the spring when they go on the beds. We catch quite a few back in Tules Creek and way back in North Fork. I can't seem to get the big ones after they come off the beds, but still catch a bunch of smaller ones. I use a fly rod with a # popper or a small streamer. My dad catches his on a black popeye jig tipped with wax worm under the smallest bobber he can find.

get your flyrod out...I`ve been catching some nice gills on nolin on a flyrod,,plus a blast to catch them that way

Find the fish, then back out deeper for the larger fish and use a slightly larger bait.
