Why is being from Africa such a big deal? It's the worst continent on the planet as far as living conditions for human beings. Many countries there are impoverished (real poverty, not the cars and big TV kind of povery we have here) and ruled by corrupt and ruthless 'governments'. Warlords...government repression...starvation...rampant disease...AIDS at epidemic proportions...critters that will kill and eat you.

Seems to me African Americans are pretty lucky those bad things happened to their descendants.

Always felt the same way. Seems society has really embraced the black race and imposed unfounded guilt on us all. I refuse to use terms like african american, asian american, hispanic american etc.. If you want to be treated as equals stop trying to seperate/isolate yourself as a victim.

I know I kinda feel sorry for poor ole Andrew sometimes, we got the guy out on a limb all by his lonesome. You gotta give the guy credit though he fights a hell of a fight and he's got the tanasity of a Pitbull. Pretty darn good fisherman too.

Weren't you both also born in America? You are native Americans, just as I am. My Grandparents (paternal) came to America from Germany. I don't call myself a German-American. My maternal ancestory is more mixed. My maternal grandfather was mostly German, but my maternal GrandMother was mixed with Irish, Cherokee, and others mixed in for good (I hope for good). LOL

We need to admit it, we are all Native Americans... at least of us that were born here.
