thats what i ment but somehow the words did not show up on the post making me look like a big retard
The Marina's should put up 2 signs. Loading area and preperation area. This would help fix stupid.
i think some have this painted on the ground. i know at taylorsville they have tie down lanes where all of this is supposed to take place. but, i know that painting this on the ground gets overlooked as it does with painting stop on the ground of parking lots. no one ever reads those signs that are painted on the ground.
people seem to just be less curtious theese days
Idiots on the ramp is one of my big gripes. There is no one fix for all the problems. I am sure many on here do similar to what I and my friends do when we get to the ramp. Everything in the boat is ready before we leave home. We back down the ramp (Only taking one lane) stop at the waters edge, get out of the truck, take the straps off the back, lower the motor, one of us gets in the boat, back the boat down enough to unhook it then back till it floats off the trailor. Takes maybe 60 to 90 seconds and we are on our way off the ramp. Slightly different when by myself and the truck will be on the ramp maybe 4 minutes.
Anyone have other ideas on how to do this?
Usually pull the back straps off before getting on the ramp, but that's only if the wench is in great shape and it's not too steep. I can see someone putting the straps on b4 pulling up the hill if their wench is iffy..Idiots on the ramp is one of my big gripes. There is no one fix for all the problems. No matter what it is, or where it's at, you cannot fix stupid. Ignorance is not knowing and can be fixed, but stupidity IS knowing and still not fixing the problem.
Just my input. Just like a butthole, everyone has one.
I'm think the 2 signs ought to be:
1. "Preparation area for mature, courteous boaters" (Big easy to access area)
2. "Preparation area for jerks" (sign ought be hung over the nearest dumpster)
LMAO... that's cold... but funny!!!
I'm sure my "ex" would say I belong in number 2.... hmmm, I think that is also what she thinks I am!!!
