We see it all the time...everywhere...just like your example on the boat ramp.

I'm in line at the gas station trying to pay for my gas and my Mountain Dew and in a hurry to get to wherever I'm going, while the old lady in front of me takes 15 minutes checking lottery tickets and buying new ones.

I'm standing in the fairway at my local golf course trying to get in 9 holes after work before it gets too dark, while waiting on the 4 dudes in front of me on the green lolly-gagging around paying no attention holding up play and not offering for me to play through.

I'm at Wal-Mart on a Saturday afternoon in the Sporting Goods department and I need into the ammo case for that lone box of .45 that I see sitting there, but Julio behind the counter is back in the breakroom taking a siesta and I can't get anyone else to come back there and open the case.

I'm at Subway on lunch hour trying to grab a bite and get back to the office, but the lady in front of me is ordering 10 sandwiches with the works to take back to wherever she's headed...all I want is for Zit-Faced Willie to build my $5 Footlong and get me the hell outta there, but it's going to be awhile.

    Need I go on?

Those of us that are always in go-go-go-now-now-now-my turn-my turn mode need to relax a bit and have more patience...the world aint all about getting out of our way...but the jackasses who don't give a crap about other people need to recognize as well and give way a little more when they can. Give and take, yen and yang, whatever...I guess it is what keeps the world polarized enough to continue spinning.

When you stop and really think hard, does that extra couple of minutes on the ramp or in line at the Speedway really truly hurt you that much?

    Rant over. LOL
an extra couple of mins is not the issue here i could of went before him and i didn't care when he strapped his boat down it when he was complaining about the other guy and and did the same but what got me is when he pulled out the rag and detail spray and cleaned his boat if i was a hurry up and go go go type of person i would of shown my --- off to launch my boat

ironhead, I didn't mean that you were one of the hurry-up and go-go-go people....you let the guy load in front of you, which seems pretty nice and laid back to me.

I just meant that talking about the whole ramp courtesy issue in general, you hear people commenting and complaining a lot about people on ramps strapping down and lolly-gagging and loading gear....and I've been that guy complaining many a times about some bonehead taking way too long on the ramp.

I guess my point was that I'm trying to take a bit slower approach to life these days and not let stuff like that bug me....not be the guy tapping his foot impatiently or showing his butt because somebody is showing theirs. You did what I was suggesting folks ought to do - throw a little kindness out there for some dipstick, even if he doesn't deserve it.
